Painters V's photographers, it's on..

I was looking for new ways to share my experience in photography, so someone told me to start a blog, imagine that. The first thing I thought is, I don't know anything about blogging. After some not-so-scholarly research on Google here I am. So if you don't mind & have time, maybe you can tell me about your blogging experience. Forgive my grammatical errors. I am not a writer by nature.
Most of my life, if there was a pen in my hand I was doodling.
Put a camera in my hand...
Now thats a different story... My story
Being a photographer is the opposite of being a painter. The painter starts with an empty canvas and adds elements building a composition. A photographer start with a moving breathing 360' environment and isolates it down to a rectangle, looking at the composition present and removes elements that are unnecessary. I make this analogy because I am a cart before the horse kinda' gal. Traditionally BFA photography students start with a strong art foundation then add the photography on top of that. Well, not me, that would have been to obvious & convenient. I started with the photography and learned the "art" fundamentals later.( I am dyslexic, so maybe this worked in my favor).
Anywho, so here I am. A woman with a passion. I feel very fortunate to have found something i am great at, I love to do, & it never feels like work. My hope for everyone, is that they are lucky enough to find what it is "they are passionate about", and live life never being afraid to follow your dreams. ( I know sort of corny, but it's true).
" You may say I'm a dream but I'm not the only one" - John lennon.
Since this is sort of my introduction I feel obligated to give some disclaimers up front: I use a lot of metaphors, philosophy, analogies and dorky jokes ( which i'm not so sure translate through a blog?) If you like those subjects already than you'll like my blog.
I'm a straight shooter and don't sugar coat things. If I say I like something, I mean it. I'm not just trying to be polite or courteous. The down side is if I don't like something I will verbalize that just as easily.
I'm eternally optimistic, and believe that the universe is in full support of my happiness.
I live on purpose and act with intention. I know (at the very least) I'm an eccentric person and should provide some slight relief from the monotony.
